Pup Up & Away Pet Portraits

Celebrate Your Pup Through Art
My love for dogs goes far beyond training – it’s something I also express through art. Art, specifically drawing, has always been a great passion of mine. I’ve been drawing since I was young, for over 10 years of continuing to create works of art in my free time and honing my craft. During my school years, I participated in several art events, competitions and local community festivals. I even had a small pet commission business creating custom art pieces for family, friends, and neighbours. I enjoyed it so much that I nearly pursued a degree in fine arts at university.
Although I chose a different path professionally, that creative spark never left me – and now I'm excited to bring that passion back to life by offering custom pet portraits, serving as a thoughtful gift to a loved one or simply a special decoration in your home that honours and celebrates your pet. While dogs are my speciality, I’m happy to create portraits of any beloved pet — including cats, horses, rabbits, and more.
Each portrait is carefully hand-drawn using high-quality, professional materials to ensure a vibrant and lasting piece of art. I strive to make these portraits both meaningful and affordable – a heartfelt way to capture and celebrate your dog’s unique personality and spirit.

Pricing Notes
Each additional pet adds significant time and detail to the artwork — extra sketching, layering, and colour blending to ensure all subjects are drawn to the same high standard. Rather than simply doubling or tripling the cost, I apply a percentage-based system to create a discounted combined rate to keep the overall price fair and affordable
Some breeds require extra time due to intricate coat textures or markings. This includes long or curly-haired dogs such as: Poodles • Cockapoos • Golden Retrievers • Afghan Hounds • Spaniels • Doodles. In these cases, an additional £20–£30 may be added to reflect the extra layering and fine detail required. Any adjustments will always be discussed and agreed upon before booking.
How it Works
-
Enquire: Start by emailing me at ele@pupupandaway.co.uk. Once we’re in touch, I’ll ask you the following: To choose your preferred paper option (Toned Grey, Toned Beige, or White), send high-quality reference photos of your pet (you can select a specific photo, or let me choose from a few) and finally provide the postal address for where you'd like your portrait delivered.
-
Booking & Deposit: Once details are confirmed, you’ll receive an invoice for a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. Once I have completed your portrait and you have given final approval, payment of the balance outstanding, including postage and packaging, is required before I deliver your portrait.
-
Waiting List: As this is a part-time passion alongside my full-time dog training business, I currently work from a waiting list. Once you have been booked for your portrait, you will be allocated my next available slot on the waitlist. If I’m fully booked at the time of your enquiry, I’ll let you know your expected start date, which can be expected anywhere between a couple of weeks or a couple of months especially during busier periods (like Christmas).
-
Completion & Delivery: I aim to complete your portrait within 4–6 weeks of your start date. While I will always do my best to complete your portrait as quickly as possible, occasionally I may need to request a deadline extension — especially during busy periods. Once finished and you have given approval that you are happy with the completed piece, your portrait will be carefully packaged and shipped to your chosen address. All portraits are shipped unframed, securely packaged, and postage is added at checkout during the final payment.
-
Priority Requests: Need your portrait by a specific date? Please get in touch with me and I can let you know if it would be possible to juggle and meet your deadline. For an additional £35 Speedy Fee, I can prioritise your commission. Please note that the priority option is subject to availability.
Please read through my Terms and Conditions for further information. Commissioning a portrait means you have read and agreed to the terms.
I am looking forward to bringing your pet to life on paper!
