What is this Class and Who is it For?
This class is designed for dogs aged 6 months + who have already been through puppy training and are ready to go further, older dogs who might need to brush up and expand on their skills or for anyone who simply loves training and is eager for more! You do not need to have completed our 'First Steps' Puppy Class in order to take part in this course, but due to the slightly advanced nature of this course, this class is only suitable for dogs who already have a good foundation of training.
What Can I Expect From This Class?
Over 5 weeks, we’ll revisit the fundamental skills learned in the 'First Steps' Puppy Class and build on them. This course will also introduce more advanced cues, safety skills, fun tricks, and so much more!

Refresher on the Basics - Marker training, Rewards, Foundational Skills like Sit, Touch, etc.

Dive Deeper into the 3 D's of Positive Reinforcement Training: Distance, Distraction and Duration.

Introduction to Cooperative Care

Safety Cues such as Emergency Stop, Let's Go and Wait

Advanced Recall Skills, including the Emergency Recall.

Improve Focus amongst Distractions

Manage your dog's Arousal Levels on Walks.

Learn Practical (as well as Adorable) Tricks!
